"THE MOUNT RUSHMORE STATE IS SEEING THE INVISIBLE ✨
I am unbelievably proud to share that for the third consecutive year, The Rocke Grace Foundation for Music + Medicine has received a Gubernatorial Proclamation, declaring March 27 as Autoimmune Disease Awareness Day across South Dakota!
Let’s celebrate stories, lift others up, and help those who feel unseen… TOGETHER!
P.S. join us on 3/27 in wearing PURPLE (the autoimmune disease awareness color) to spread this message across SD! 💜"

The Rocke Grace Foundation was created to honor a brilliant multi-instrumentalist who was a husband, father, and grandfather. Rocke co-wrote the now infamous rock anthem, Rocky Mountain Way with Joe Walsh in 1973. As a Platinum Award-winning songwriter, he was awarded the Lifetime Achievement honor by the South Dakota Rock n Roll Music Association. Sadly he spent most of his last 10 years of life bedridden by his autoimmune symptoms. The one thing that made him feel good was music. He rarely missed playing his guitar for even a short period, every single day of his life. This was his happiness and the source of his strength.
